The integration qualification stems from the fact that it is unethical to perform research with human subjects if the product tested and the science are of low quality and the research question can’t be answered by the study.

and in a few special cases by the CCMO. For a thorough integrated review, these committees should have qualified members for a proper assessment of the (non-)clinical and quality data of the investigational medicinal product.
